Important Patient & Provider Update
Maxcie Sikora, MD, will be relocating to Panama City, Florida this winter and transitioning to another clinic in the AllerVie Health network. Dr. Sikora’s last day seeing patients at AllerVie Health in Destin will be December 19, 2024. While we understand that her Destin community will miss her dearly, we are supportive of her as she moves into this new chapter of her career.

If you already have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Sikora, for your convenience, that appointment will be rescheduled with Amanda Vicknair, FNP-C. While Dr. Sikora is leaving the Destin area, she will continue to work collaboratively with Amanda to ensure you receive expert care tailored to your specific needs.
Amanda Vicknair is a Family Nurse Practitioner that has accumulated extensive experience in thoracic surgery, emergency medicine, and allergy care. While working in the allergy field she developed a specialization in treating and managing atopic dermatitis, pediatric asthma, environmental allergies, and urticaria.
We want to reassure you that as part of the national AllerVie Health network, we remain committed to providing high-quality allergy and asthma care and continuing to serve the Destin community. You can expect to receive the same great care from our office as always – and over time, new resources, providers, and more will be introduced.
If you would like to follow Dr. Sikora, we are happy to transfer your records to her new practice location at AllerVie Health – Panama City.

How to read pollen count
Pollen and mold levels are determined by the National Allergy Bureau and have been translated into four levels based on the counts for the majority of days and the averages over the years.
LOW
A low pollen count means that only people who are extremely sensitive to pollen and mold will have allergy symptoms.
MODERATE
A moderate pollen count means more people will have allergy symptoms.
HIGH
A high pollen count means that most people with a sensitivity to pollen and/or molds can experience allergy symptoms.
Very High
A very high pollen count means that almost everyone who has an allergy to molds and pollen will experience symptoms.
