OCALA, FL / AGILITYPR.NEWS / October 01, 2021 / Today, Dr. G. Edward Stewart II and Dr. Thomas L. Johnson II of Allergy & Asthma Care of Florida announced they have joined AllerVie Health, a national network of board-certified allergists who think similarly about patient care and have joined together to change patients’ lives in greater ways than they could individually. Exciting changes are in the works locally as their practice locations in Ocala, Lady Lake, and Wildwood, Florida will be rebranding in the coming months to AllerVie Health!

Dr. Stewart, Dr. Johnson, and Beau J. Caruthers, APRN continue to practice medicine and provide exemplary allergy and immunology services to patients at the current locations, ensuring continuity of care. Dr. Stewart has been with the practice since 1994, Dr. Johnson joined in 2009, and Beau Caruthers joined in 2013.

AllerVie Health’s focus on clinical research, innovation, and expansion of care will give the opportunity to bring clinical trials, new treatments, and other resources to those with allergy and asthma needs throughout the area.

“I am very excited about expanding our ability to provide quality allergy and asthma care to more patients in Florida,” said Dr. Johnson. “Joining AllerVie Health allows us to focus even more attention on helping our patients achieve the results that matter most to them.”

“I had lived with my own allergy symptoms for years without realizing that effective treatments were available,” said Dr. Stewart. “During my internal medicine residency, I did a one-month elective with a very reputable allergist. Not only did I begin to learn the genuine science behind the treatments of allergies, but also, I was evaluated, found to have allergies, and began allergy treatments. I was amazed at the degree of relief that was possible. This influenced my decision to change my post-residency training to allergy and immunology as I realized how gratifying it would be to help my patients in the same way that I had been helped.”

“Our allergists are passionate about changing the face of allergy, asthma, and immunology care in this country,” said Dr. Weily Soong, AllerVie Health Chief Medical Officer. “We believe that the public demand is high for innovative healthcare, great customer service, and increased access to these services, and AllerVie Health is poised to be the premier solution in this country for the millions of Americans affected annually. The addition of Dr. Stewart and Dr. Johnson to our network of board-certified allergists strengthens our team.”

As the doctors and staff of Allergy & Asthma Care of Florida join AllerVie Health, we remain more committed to the people of Florida than ever before and look forward to bringing more locations, jobs, and the gold standard of patient care to even more people locally who suffer from allergies, asthma, and immunological concerns. AllerVie Health has board-certified allergists across Florida with locations in Destin, Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Pensacola, and now Ocala and The Villages.
