After many dedicated years of providing compassionate care to the Huntsville, Alabama community, Dr. Shashi Kumar will be retiring and transitioning away from practicing medicine full-time in June of this year (2024). We are honored to have had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Kumar over the last few years and hope that his retirement is filled with the happiness and joy he deserves!

Please rest assured that we remain committed to serving you and ensuring you have a smooth transition of care. If you already have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Kumar, for your convenience, that appointment will be rescheduled with another provider from our practice.

  • Mallory Moore is a nurse practitioner who strives to provide quality care to all her patients and enjoys establishing a trusting relationship with them. She is passionate about educating her patients so they feel empowered to manage their care with ease.
  • Jeannie Noblitt joined our team in April as a nurse practitioner. She is deeply committed to the patient’s well-being and is excited to help you find freedom for your allergy and asthma symptoms.
  • Hallie Taylor will be joining our team in June as a physician assistant. Hallie is an experienced provider who is dedicated to helping her patients feel better and reclaim their health. She is eager to join the AllerVie family and be part of the patient journey!
  • While Dr. Kumar leaves behind an incredible legacy, we want to reassure you that as part of the AllerVie Health network, we remain committed to finding the right allergy and asthma specialists to continue serving the Huntsville community. During this transition, Dr. Kumar will be available in a limited capacity and provide clinical oversight for our providers.

Dr. Shashi Kumar is board-certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. His post-graduate training includes specialization in Pediatrics at Lloyd Noland Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama and Allergy-Immunology at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and National Jewish Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. He served as a Major in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Army. He was Chief of Allergy Clinical Immunology Clinic while stationed at 67th Combat Support Hospital in Wuerzburg, Germany. Early in his career, he was Chief of Pediatrics at Fox Army Medical Center on Redstone Arsenal. Dr. Kumar has given numerous national and local presentations on allergy and asthma. He and his wife Kavita have twin daughters, Meena and Nisha who are pursuing doctoral degrees in clinical psychology.
