Mosopefoluwa L. Illufoye, MD

Bio

Dr. Mosopefoluwa (“Sope”) Ilufoye is double board-certified in allergy and immunology and pediatrics. She is dedicated to helping patients of all ages live healthier, more fulfilling lives. Originally from Maryland, Dr. Ilufoye is excited to return home to serve her local community. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neurobiology with a minor in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Maryland and went on to earn her Doctor of Medicine degree from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She then completed her pediatric residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. 

Before joining AllerVie Health, Dr. Ilufoye served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Allergy and Immunology at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. During her tenure, she cared for children and adults with a range of allergic and immunologic conditions, led educational lectures for medical students and fellows, and participated as a co-investigator in several national clinical research studies focused on food allergies, asthma, and immunotherapy. She has also co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and presented her findings at national medical conferences. 

Dr. Ilufoye is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), the Clinical Immunology Society, and the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association, where she has contributed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and professional development initiatives. Her approach to care is patient-centered and evidence-based, emphasizing clear communication, shared decision-making, and personalized treatment plans to help each patient achieve optimal health and quality of life. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ilufoye enjoys spending time with her husband and children, traveling, discovering new restaurants, and listening to podcasts.
