Bio

Erin Britt, NP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in the diagnosis and management of allergy, asthma, and immunologic conditions for patients of all ages. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice with a focus in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated magna cum laude. Her advanced training and academic work reflect her dedication to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care.

Before joining AllerVie Health, Erin built her clinical expertise as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit nurse, where she cared for critically ill children requiring advanced interventions and collaborated across multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes. Recognized as “Preceptor of the Quarter,” she also mentored and trained nurses new to the specialty, underscoring her leadership and commitment to cultivating excellence in patient care. During her doctoral studies, Erin completed clinical rotations in pediatrics, urgent care, internal medicine, and allergy and asthma, including a specialty placement with Allergy & Asthma of Central Maryland, which further deepened her expertise in immunology and respiratory care.

Erin is actively involved in professional organizations, including the Nurse Practitioners Association of Maryland, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau. She has earned multiple honors throughout her career, including DAISY Award nominations for compassion and integrity in nursing. Her doctoral project with the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services focused on improving asthma management for children in schools, increasing the availability of asthma action plans from 54% to 95%, a testament to her dedication to improving community health outcomes.

Outside of her professional role, Erin and her husband are avid sports enthusiasts, cheering on Penn State, the University of Maryland, and Washington, DC’s professional teams. They also enjoy spending time with their dog, who proudly bears the name of a Washington Capitals player.
