Elizabeth Rankin, CRNP

Bio

Elizabeth Rankin was born and raised in North Carolina and brings 20 years of nursing experience to her work as a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in allergy and asthma care. She is excited to make meaningful connections with her patients and to help them manage their allergic and respiratory conditions with compassionate, personalized care.

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, cum laude, from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, where she was supported by a North Carolina Nursing Scholarship. She went on to build a diverse nursing career across medical-surgical, pulmonary, oncology, and operating room settings, working at hospitals including Presbyterian Hospital and Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, and later Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Suburban Hospital, Meritus Medical Center, and Frederick Health Hospital in Maryland. Throughout her operating room career, she circulated trauma, emergent, and obstetric cases, and also served as a triage nurse for primary care.

Elizabeth furthered her education by earning her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Frostburg State University in Maryland, graduating as a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Since transitioning to advanced practice, she has practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in pediatrics at Frederick Pediatric Associates before joining AllerVie Health, where she now focuses on allergy and asthma care.

A dedicated educator throughout her career, Elizabeth has served as a preceptor for new nurses and as a clinical and lab instructor for nursing students at Hood College and Frederick Health, helping train the next generation of nurses in adult health and fundamental nursing skills.

Elizabeth now calls Maryland home. Outside of work, she volunteers with the youth ministry and nursery at Holy Family Catholic Church, and she enjoys spending time with her family, taking long walks with her Bernedoodle, and relaxing at the beach.
