Important Clinic Update
After many dedicated years of providing compassionate care to the Montgomery, Alabama community, Dr. J. Allen Meadows will be retiring and transitioning away from practicing medicine full-time, and Dr. Sumana Reddy has decided to pursue other opportunities outside of the AllerVie Health network.
While we navigate this transition together, we ask that you continue to be patient with our staff as we are currently experiencing high call volumes and increased wait times as many patients are requesting copies of their medical records and we are working diligently to accommodate those requests.
Please allow up to 3 business days for us to return your phone messages, and up to 30 days for us to fulfill a medical records request.
After June 21, we will be moving medical records into secure, HIPAA compliant storage and will provide you with new information on how to reach us to request your records.
Between now and June 21, you can follow the steps below to transfer your care to another provider:
NOTE: We are currently in the process of identifying where your medical records will be transitioned to after June 21, 2023, and will provide additional details once we have that information to share with you. We will work with you to transfer your medical records to the physician of your choice, to you personally, or to your legally authorized representative. Records will be retained in accordance with record retention requirements under state law. There may be a transition period for records transition, in accordance with applicable state law, there may be a nominal fee charged for the transfer of records.
Due to these provider transitions and other unforeseen circumstances, AllerVie Health has made the difficult decision to permanently close its Montgomery clinic, effective April 28, 2023. AllerVie Health is committed to delivering not only the highest quality care to its patients but also the safest, most efficient, and most patient-centric experience possible! When AllerVie feels it can no longer fulfill its mission to the greatest extent, it must, unfortunately, make difficult decisions such as this one.
Working alongside Meadows, who has served in an essential role in the AllerVie Health network, has been both a privilege and an honor. He has been an outstanding business partner, and AllerVie hopes that his retirement is filled with the happiness and joy he deserves. Reddy has been a great addition to the AllerVie Health family as well, and AllerVie wishes her the best as she moves on to this next chapter of her career. AllerVie has greatly enjoyed being a part of the Montgomery community and thanks its patients and partners for trusting its doctors with their care!
